The aim of this course is that students learn different types of dances some related to Andalusian tradition originated from Flamenco and other folkloric and classic Spanish dances.

There are three levels and each of them teaches different types of dancing:

  • ELEMENTARY: Learning of the positioning and movement of the arms moved to the beat of music. Later  the movement of the feet is added to perform the easiest dancing, as sevillanas or rumbas.

  • INTERMEDIATE: This level emphasizes the learning of traditional folklore (fandangos, Tanguillos, Malagueñas) and castanets.

  • ADVANCED: This course teaches Flamenco dancing. (Bulerías, Alegrías, Tangos) and Spanish classic dancing.

  
 

 

In the Intermediate and Advanced level, the use of castanets is taught to follow the music.

Singing and guitar music is used for the dances.

At the end of the course there is a dancing show where students perform the dances learnt in the course.
