We have three different courses:
1.- Beginners Course (Computers for office use):
This course intends to provide the students with the best preparation in the use of computer programmes most common in the administration department of an office. This courses are mainly practical although at the beginning it is unavoidable to present a more theoretical part.
CONTENTS:
There are three different parts:
A.- Introduction to computers: Basic concepts, what is a PC, components, memory, hard disc.
B.- Operation System Windows XP, Basic Functioning, Theory and Practice.
C.- Initiation in Microsoft Office XP:
Word Processing in Word for writing letters, templates, notes, etc...
Spread Sheets in Excel: For automatic calculations with the computer.
Data Base in Access: Customer Data, Goods Data, etc...
Communications: Basic Use of Electronic Mail, Internet and use of a local network.
2.- Advanced Course:
Continuation of the previous course. Commercial Use of Microsoft Office XP:
CONTENTS:
Word Processing in Word. Commercial Use.
Spread Sheet in Excel. For advanced automatic calculations and functions.
Data Base in Access. Expert Applications.
Communications: Outlook Express, E-mail / Usenet. Second part of the course in Electronic Mail and Internet navigation.
Introduction to Guadalinex (Linux) Operating System and applications.
3.- Internet and Local Networks:
Basic Use of the most common and related programmes in Internet.
CONTENTS:
Introduction to L.A.N., W.A.N. Networks / Evolution.
Internet: Navigators, Sites, Search engines , HTLM, ASP/JAVA Server/Client Model, Communications: Outlook/ E-mail, news groups, video conference, Designing a Simple Web Page.
COURSE REQUIREMENTS
All courses are considered for beginners so previous experience with computers is not considered necessary. However, It is compulsory to follow the beginners course in order to be able to attend the Advanced Computers Course.
CLASS RULES
In order to benefit others, we require collaboration from students who should turn off their mobile phone before beginning the class. Smoking is not allowed.
MATERIAL AND FACILITIES
The classroom has modern equipment. There are eight PC multimedia computers Windows XP. Two students per computer maximum. There are also video cameras, local network, 512 MB Broad Band and scanner.
